The normal motivation for introducing the Hydrotech filters to Aquaculture is economical. In a fish farm, you can remove up to:

Recirculated system (RAS)
Fish farming in recirculated systems is one of the most expanding approaches for producing fish and other species for the aquaculture industry.

There is increasing awareness that quality of inlet water is very important for successful fish farming.

What is the economic potential if proper inlet filtration is installed?
Tests on a shrimp farm in Malaysia with Hydrotech filter filtering inlet water in combination with UV showed significant improvements in both growth and feed conversion:
► Feeding increased by 253 %
► Feed conversion were improved by 20 %
► Final harvesting was improved by 300 %
This was a 46 days test on shrimp ponds where 2 identical ponds were stocked each with 75.000 post larvae. The harvest result was:
► Pond 1 with traditional intake water: 71 kg
► Pond 2 with Hydrotech and UV installed: 214 kg
