Lamella Plate Packs

Lamella Plate Pack types

TPI47S platepacks

Lamella plate packs exist in all different constructions and materials. All manufactures use their own design on the plate pack to enhance separation performance. However not all type of plate packs are suitable for all applications and distinction must be made on each process condition.

Media packs for separation are special designed media packed in stacks. Some models have flumes mounted on the sides of the plates and V-notch weirs. The plate discs protrude above the water surface and can be removed separately. This is a solution that is very time consuming as each plate has to be removed separate. Especially in hazardous and ATEX environment when vapor is hazardous.

As for the material of construction the resistance to BTEX and other more organics is important. High temperatures and abrasive suspended solids are parameters to define the suitable materials for construction.

Important design parameters for the plate pack design:

  • Plate length
  • Plate distance
  • Plate quantity
  • Plate material
  • Frame material
  • Plate pack weight
  • Plate pack dimensions

As for replacement plate packs Veolia Water Technologie TiPSS has standard plate packs as shown in the table below. For all application build by Shell and Pielkenrood Water Treatment (PWT) we have the suitable replacement spare plate packs on stock.

It seems you are looking for a CPI system marketed by the former Pielkenrood Wastewater Treatment company (PWT). In 1992 the Pielkenrood Wastewater Treatment company became insolvent and had to end all its activities. All technologies of Pielkenrood Waterbehandeling B.V. have been transferred to the Veolia Water Technologies group since. MPP Systems a subsidairy of Veolia Water Technologies markets the CPI technology under the name TiPSS.
